Every Monday is our Yu-Gi-Oh! locals!6:30PM start with a finish between 9 and 10:30 (depending on number of players and rounds).
This is a Swiss Format event. What this means is each round players are paired up with someone who has a similar amount of points or wins as them, making the playing field more even as the night progresses. The first round is random and then players are paired up by score from there.
You'll get an OTS pack (the number will vary but is normally the latest edition) on entry after you've paid. The TO (Tournament Organiser) will give this to you during the first round, so keep your receipt handy!
For every player that enters, one retail Yu-Gi-Oh! booster pack will be put into the prize pool. So if 10 people enter the event, 10 packs will be what's up for grabs. Prizes are spread out at the TO's discretion between the top 3 players for the evening or if there's a lot players it could be top 25% of players.
Each round is 40 mins and a timer will be visible for all players to follow. Once the time on the round finishes, you must finish the phase of the game you're in and go no further. Highest life points wins in this case. Rounds are decided by best of 3.
