Want to learn to screenprint but don't have access to a press or the money for expensive print materials? Come join local artist Anfisa Brewer of Dirty Bones Design Co as they walk you through the process of creating and printing with your own upcycled silkscreens!
In one afternoon, participants will learn to:
- Select the necessary materials for creating your own silk screen
- Expose your silk screens at home
- Register your silk screens at home without a press
- You will also walk away with a full list of affordable materials and where to get them, as well as tips & tricks you'll need to know for the entire process!
Workshop participants will walk away with 1 exposed screen so they can continue to screen print at home and one completed screenprint! Please bring your own shirts, bags, paper, etc, to print on.Anfisa will provide designs to choose from for printing, or you can provide your own artwork.
If you want to print your own artwork such as a logo or a drawing of your own, PLEASE reach out to [email protected] or message @dirtybonesdesignco to review artwork and make sure it is suitable for printing. Anfisa will print your design ahead of time on transparent film to ensure it is ready to be exposed on a screen and printed during the class.
