We are excited to announce the start of our sewing weekend here at Remode! Join us for a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, explore your creative ambitions, and receive guidance on what you'd like to learn or make. Creative sewing has a way of uplifting and inspiring, and our three-day gathering is designed to boost your confidence and motivation by sharing tips and experiences. Why not join us and embark on a refreshing new hobby?
Here's what our course has to offer:
Beginner/Introductory Dressmaking: Perfect for those starting from scratch, learn the basics of dressmaking and get started on your sewing journey.
Intermediate Sewing and Dressmaking: Enhance your skills and take your sewing projects to the next level under the guidance of experienced instructors.
Quilting: Discover the art of quilting and create beautiful quilted pieces.
Redesign and Alteration: Learn how to breathe new life into existing garments through redesign and alteration techniques.
Sustainable Wardrobe Advice/Making: Dive into sustainable fashion practices and explore ways to create a conscious and eco-friendly wardrobe.
Pattern Drafting and Alteration, Fitting: Learn the skills of pattern drafting, altering patterns to fit your measurements, and achieving the perfect fit for your garments.
Pattern Collection: Access a wide range of over 100 women's sewing patterns and some for kids.
During the course, you'll have the opportunity to try out different activities, and we can provide fabrics at a discounted price!
Our teachers are highly qualified designers and dedicated sewers with over 30 years of experience. They are here to provide you with the best tips and tricks for your individual projects.
To ensure a focused learning environment tailored to everyone's needs, we are limiting the camp to only 5 participants. This small group size allows for valuable one-on-one time with teachers and ensures maximum engagement and assistance. Studies have shown that smaller camp sizes result in individuals learning four times more by following their classmates' projects and learning as a group.
We have a warm and friendly community ready to serve everyone's needs and provide support in our studio.
There is a lovely coffee shop in the building with yummy lunches, cakes and drinks. (Lunch is from £4, coffee about £2.6). You could bring your own packed lunch if you prefer. Accommodation and traveling costs are not included.
We also have a variety of other more specialized unique and creative courses on our website from embroidery to our popular 8 week dressmaking course. There is something at Remode for everyone if you are wanting to learn something more specific and focused.
Date and time: 18 and 19 of May, 10:30-16:00.
