The Yankton Community Library, 515 Walnut Street, will host Weekend at the Oscars on Saturday & Sunday, March 1 & 2. The 11th annual event will feature four Oscar-nominated movies all based on books! This event is free of charge, and no registration is required.Return on Sunday, March 2, for one of 2024's hit movies, Wicked, rated PG-13, at 1:30 pm. Nominated for best picture, best actress (Cynthia Erivo), and best supporting actress (Ariana Grande), Wicked is based on the 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, which explores the Land of Oz and the backstory of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
Thank you to the Dakota Theatre for providing popcorn for this event! You are welcome to bring your own movie treats as well!
