Can you believe that the battle over the Nash Mills War Memorial garden is STILL going on?
With Remembrance looming it is really important that we can get the garden looking splendid in time for 11th November, so I'm planning ahead in the hope of getting that fantastic community spirit back again to bring the garden up to standard to pay our respects.
It's the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2, and with so few veterans left to join us (although I believe we may have one or two coming), I believe it is more important than ever to show them just how much we appreciate the sacrifice our military personnel AND everyone who played a part in supporting the military and propping up our country back home while our brave souls were fighting for our liberty.
I'm planning to have 2 Saturday morning sessions to get the community together again, both 9am - 11am:
1st November 2025 - Led by Alan Briggs in my absence
8th November 2025 - Led by me (Jan Maddern).
