He has a knack for describing the human condition with humor and joy, Often in timely and topical songs reflecting the current state of the world. Westcott guides audiences through a myriad of genres and decades of roots music while seamlessly weaving in his own original cuts. Taking inspiration and cues from field recordings, old time string bands, the traditional jazz and street sounds of New Orleans, country/ragtime blues of 20s & 30s, & folk revival songwriters!
