Fun, fast salsa with a bit of Cuban sabor! Our Wednesday night classes are a great way to start if you want to try out dancing or to meet some of the Hamilton Salsa crew.These classes are open to anyone wanting to give salsa dancing a try and are perfect for beginner dancers.
Every lesson includes a warm up/follow along of basic steps, and a short partner work pattern.
You'll be taught step by step with counts and music.
While each class is a stand-alone class, the more you attend the more you will learn and more fun you will have.
You do not need to bring a partner, we rotate partners often.
All content taught is intended for the social floor.
When: Wednesday evenings
Class 7-8pm
Social 8-10pm (ie we dim the lights and play a range of Latin music so you can practice your Salsa, Bachata, Zouk and Cha Cha Cha until 10pm).
This class will run 21 August to 9 October 2024
Venue: Puu Toi, 145 London Street, Hamilton CBD.
On street parking only.
Cost: $5 per person for the night (class and social).
What to bring
A water bottle and warm layer for after class.
What to wear
Please wear lightweight clothing you can move easily in.
No black soled street shoes or stilettoes.
Please wear shoes that fit well, that you can balance well in and aren’t grippy.

Ladies, please remember your heel caps. These can be purchased from the front desk for
$8 a pair.
Feeling peckish? We have drinks (Lemon Lime and Bitters, Ginger beer, Sprite, Coke, Diet coke) and snacks (chips, chocolate, muesli bars) available.
Cost: The best deal around for a night of dancing!
Class and social dancing are $5 per person
Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer on the day.
Parking
Please note there is no onsite parking. Parking is available in the surrounding streets.
