Get ready to play, get a little messy, and create something truly beautiful! in this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the magic of wet felting as we build sculptural felted baskets over an inflatable ball. Using soft, colourful wool batts, warm soapy water, and plenty of gentle rolling and shaping, you'll watch loose fibres transform into a sturdy, seamless basket right before your eyes.You'll learn how to layer wool for strength and texture, embellish, control thickness, and shape your basket as it firms up - creating a one-of-a-kind piece that's both functional and artful. Not two baskets will be alike! once the felting is strong enough, We'll deflate the ball to reveal your basket, not quite ready for treasures, yarn, or display. This workshop is a challenging felted experience for confident beginners while seasoned felters looking for a new direction will love it too. Come enjoy our relaxed, atmosphere and leave with a beautiful handmade basket - and a new application for the ancient art of felt making.
Our fee is $120.00 or $135.60 with tax, this also includes two three-hour workshops, all materials, supplies, and equipment. Space is limited so reservations are necessary.
