About this Event
Join Aime (me), founder of Bristolian web design company Studio Cotton, for a Friday of website work. This totally free day is a chance to gain help and advice from me, or just get your head down and work on your own website with a little friendly support.
We'll be meeting up and chilling out in the Studio Cotton office space, located in the centre of Bristol on Broad Street. We've divided the day into morning and afternoon sessions, you are more than welcome to book both but please only do so if you are able to attend for the full day.
Please note that our office is still to go through a significant renovation, so don't judge our decor too harshly. Hopefully it'll be delisciously pink and utterly instagrammable in the not-to-distant future.
There's no strict schedule to our Website Help Clinic, we'll just be sat around a big workshop table and chatting about websites for small business .
I will be on-hand to answer any questions or give advice and pointers on your website. Although this is an opportunity to get some one-to-one advice, all of our discussions and demoes will be available to watch for anyone in the group (if they wish).
For this reason, we encourage attendees to only share what they feel comfortable with, and to keep the details discussion during the session within the session itself.
Your laptop (and maybe your charger too). This clinic is a working session, which means you'll have time to implement some advice for some quick and easy wins.
It might be worth bringing a notebook too in case you want to apply some learnings at a later date.
Your ticket price will include a hot drink and a sweet treat from our neighbours at Full Court Press, which must be redeemed during your session. We'll also provide plenty of jugs of water.
If you book both morning and afternoon sessions, we highly recommend treating yourself to a delicious lunch from our next door neighbours inside St Nicks Market.
Studio Cotton is a leading website design studio for podcasts and independent businesses.
Founded all the way back in 2016, we've built more websites than we can count (well, actually it's around 100) as well as pubplishing a buttload of free help and useful tidbits via the Studio Cotton blog and our Instagram profile.
I run these sessions to try and make professional website help more accessible, so you can sell more stuff, get more enquiries, and monetise content. Also so that you'll like us more, and hopefully recommend us to your mates who need website help too.
Studio Cotton is located in the centre of Bristol and served by most public transport routes. Parking on the other hand is a little trickier. There is very very limited Pay & Display parking available.
The closest multi-story car parks are Nelson Street and The Galleries Shopping Centre, at the time of writing The Galleries Shopping Centre is the cheapest.
Studio Cotton is located within the Bristol Clean Air Zone.
I recommend a cheeky Tier scoot session as Studio Cotton has numerous scooter stops near by, and scooting is hella fun.
Studio Cotton is located at 63 Broad Street, opposite the side of the Bristol Registry Office and sandwiched between Christ Church with St Ewen and the intimidatingly cool Joys, the sister store of Bristol streetware brand, Blues.
We don't yet have a sign (I know I know, I should sort it out!), but there is a big golden '63' above our front door.

Accessibility
We do not have an accessible toilet. Our loo is located in our basement, at the bottom of quite a tight spiral staircase.
We try our best to accomodate accessibility requirements, so drop me an email to [email protected], or a DM on Instagram if you have any questions or requests.
Our Website Help Clinic is a professional session for over 18s.
The event is not suitable for children or pets.
Tickets can be refunded up until 5pm on the Tuesday before the event. No refunds will be issued after this time.
Please, plllleeeeeaaassseeee pop me a quick email if you're unable to make the event at any time. Being real for a moment - we get that sometimes things come up, and no-showing to a session might not feel like a big deal.
But it can feel like a bit of a kick in the tooter to the organiser.
We put a lot of effort into these events, and want to make sure as many people as possible can benefit from a little exctra support. So just pop us a little email - no judgement - and we'll open the space to another lovely person on what is usually a pretty sizeable waitlist.
We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences, including different levels of website experience and different industries.
We want to make sure every attendee has a brighter day for the time we've spent together - which means a zero-tolerance policy for anyone being a dick.
We reserve the right to cancel any tickets, up to and including on the day of the event for people who don't uphold our value of kindness.
