Website Help Clinic for Small Business Owners

Join Aime, founder of Studio Cotton, for a Friday of website work. This totally free day is a chance to gain help and advice, or just get your head down and work on your own website with a little friendly support (and a lot of yummy warm tea).

We'll be meeting up and chilling out in the Studio Cotton workshop, located in the centre of Bristol on Corn Street. We've divided the day into morning and afternoon sessions, you are more than welcome to book both but please only do so if you are able to attend for the full day.

There's no strict schedule to our Website Help Clinic. we'll just be sat around a big workshop table, or relaxing into a comfy chair in our living room area, and chatting about websites.

Aime will be on-hand to answer any questions or give advice and pointers on your website. Please note that although this is an opportunity to get some one-to-one advice, all of our discussions and demoes will be available to watch for anyone in the group (if they wish).

For this reason, we encourage attendees to only share what they feel comfortable with, and to keep the details discussion during the session within the session itself.

Your laptop (and maybe your charger too). This clinic is a working session, which means you'll have time to implement some advice for some quick and easy wins.

It might be worth bringing a notebook too in case you want to apply some learnings at a later date.

We have a kettle that will be bubbling away all day for plenty of teas and french press coffee. If your coffee tastes are more refined, we suggest grabbing a latte from Full Court Press on Broad Street, or the shipping container Ka:Fei in the centre by the fountains. Best coffees in Bristol.

No food will be provided, but you're more than welcome to bring your own non-stinky snacks.

If you book both morning and afternoon sessions, we highly recommend treating yourself to a delicious lunch from our next door neighbours inside St Nicks Market.

Aime founded Studio Cotton in 2016 after years in the marketing agency industry because she wanted to work with interesting people, fun brands, and help them get more beautiful products and sicken' services into the world.

Studio Cotton is located in the centre of Bristol and served by most public transport routes. Parking on the other hand is a little trickier. There is limited Pay & Display parking available.

The closest multi-story car parks are Queen Charlotte Street, Nelson Street and The Galleries Shopping Centre, at the time of writing The Galleries Shopping Centre is the cheapest.

Aime recommends a cheeky Voi scoot session as Studio Cotton has numerous scooter stops near by, and scooting is hella fun.

Studio Cotton is located at 48 Corn Street, but our front door is actually on Exchange Avenue, the lane that runs down the side of St Nicks Market. We're directly opposite the legendary Japanese street food shop Eatchu, so just keep an eye out for a happy little dumpling and look behind you.

Studio Cotton is located on the third floor of a listed building, and unfortunately the building’s elevator on travels to the second floor. For this reason, there is no step-free access available.

Our Website Help Clinic for Small Business Owners is a professional session for over 18s. The event is not suitable for children.

Please, plllleeeeeaaassseeee pop us a quick email if you're unable to make the event. Being real for a moment - we get that sometimes things come up, and no-showing to a free might not feel like a big deal.

But it can feel like a bit of a kick in the tooter to the organiser.

We put a lot of effort into these events, and want to make sure as many small businesses as possible can benefit from a little free support. So just pop us a little email - no judgement - and we'll open the space to another lovely person.

We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences, including different levels of business experience and different industries.

We want to make sure every attendee has a brighter day for the time we've spent together - which means a zero-tolerance policy for anyone being a bit of a dick.

We reserve the right to cancel any tickets, up to and including on the day of the event for people who don't uphold our values of being smart, creative, and above all - kind.
