About this Event
Join Crystal Cathcart, President of Eli’s Garden of Healing, for a unique workshop learning how to weave on a loom.
Following the death of her nephew, 15- year-old Elijah Gomez, Crystal looked to fiber art as an outlet to navigate grief. As part of her journey using fiber arts to process loss, Crystal has been building a collection of pieces to present at an art show on the topic of grief. During this workshop, some of her pieces will be shown to attendees.
Workshop attendees will learn how to set up a small loom, weave yard onto their loom, and hear tips and tricks from Crystal for creating beautiful hanging art.
Attendees will be provided with all of the supplies needed to create their own piece of woven art to bring home with them. No experience is required.
The fees for this event cover one drink (Sangria or equivalent) at Bistro Latino and materials for the workshop. All attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a prize from Bistro Latino. Attendees are welcome to purchase additional food and drinks while at the venue.
