Join NAIDOC SA 2021 Artist of the Year Sonya Rankine of Lakun Mara in a weaving workshop to learn traditional Ngarrindjeri and Ngadjuri weaving techniques. Create your own small basket or mat using natural fibres!
Sonya Rankine is a proud Ngarrindjeri, Narungga, Ngadjuri, and Wirangu woman and business owner of Lakun Mara. The key focus of Lakun Mara is cultural revival and maintenance of traditional weaving techniques and cultural practice. Lakun Mara means Weaving Hand in Ngarrindjeri language.
Please bring your own food and drinks and at this stage a face mask must be worn at all times due to COVID-19 restrictions.
