Join an open discussion of Paaras' work with indigenous South Asian craft practices, at the intersection of textiles and climate justice.
About this Event

Third in our series of discussions focussing on creative connections between South Asia nd Britain, this will be an opportunity to consider questions around sustainability, solidarity, and intimacy, through the work of Paaras Abbas.

Paaras draws upon her training in anthropology, and her experiences living between Pakistan and Britain, to explore sustainable practices in craftwork. She will bring work to display from her ongoing project provisionally titled "life cycles of a single thing" and, in dialogue with Mansi Shouche, will explore the origins and practice of her zero-waste textile art. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion of the themes that arise.
