Nau mai, Haere mai.Tukutuku is a traditional Māori artform used for storytelling. This type of weaving is mainly used to adorn the inside walls of wharenui (meeting houses). Like carvings, they convey a complex language of visual symbols. Through mahi tukutuku you can learn the techniques and meanings of some common designs. Suitable for all ages, but children will need to be accompanied by an adult. Bookings on Eventfinda required.
