Weave and Breathe in June - woven swifts

We are Stuart and Emma and we are willow weavers based in South Norfolk. We make baskets and gifts using willow grown in Somerset as well as willow that we harvest ourselves in Norfolk and Suffolk.
All through 2024, we'll be running a monthly willow weaving workshop with a focus on fun and wellbeing while exploring some traditional basketry skills. Each month we'll teach a new willow project - from birdfeeders through to Christmas decoratons. Come along monthly, or dip in now and then.
In June's workshop, we'll be weaving small swifts.
We'll start with a woven fish to learn the flat weave technique, before moving on to making a swift that can be hung indoors or in the garden.
All tools and materials will be provided as well as teas, coffees and biscuits.
Thompson Community Hall is a modern building with good parking, facilities and accessibilty.
