On Sunday, April 28, 2024, Get Her to the BAG in partnership with the Congress Heights Arts and Culture Center present "Wealth, Tea and Worthiness" a community event for women and youth living in Washington, DC. The event aims to support wellness practices and enhance personal financial health through a series of workshops and conversations.
Morning Session hosted by BAG Wellness Ambassador,
- Participants will engage in a Tea Tasting sponsored by Ikisha Little of The Sweet Life of Tea, and hear about the history and benefits of three tea blends before sampling each at an interactive Tea Bar.
- Kena Worthy from Ase Reiki will lead a breathwork meditation session, providing strategies for incorporating meditative practices into daily routines.
- Shevonne Monk, Womb Health Specialist and owner of SacredMuvahood, will discuss the connection between womb health and self-worthiness, offering movements to honor womb space.
Afternoon Session:
- Ashlin Price of Financial Freedom Enterprises will address money and trauma in the Black community, along with foundational topics such as credit, savings, and budgeting.
- Nikki M.G, The Power Expert, will share insights on transitioning from the corporate world to entrepreneurship, discussing successes and challenges.
