Feel the pulse of “the Heartbeat of Miami”!
Join us and Miamibloco at Magic 13 Brewing Co. and make new connections with fellow music lovers while grooving along to the largest samba percussion orchestra in the country.
Let's try this again ... We originally planned to host this event back in May, but the weather had other plans. We can't let 2025 pass us by without this much-anticipated collab, so make sure to join us for music, connection and community!
The set list:
💃 Learn the basics of samba during a 20-minute dance class designed to break the ice
🥁 Experience the impeccable vibes of Miamibloco’s Bateria Saidiera during its weekly open rehearsal in the beer garden. This community ensemble of more than 80 percussionists blends the vibrant rhythms of Brazil with the rich diasporic sounds of Miami
🗣 Add your voice during an interactive, immersive percussion experience that closes out the evening
🧊 Paired conversation moments sprinkled throughout the experience will help everyone meet new people and connect on a deeper level
🎶 Expect a full body and soul experience that is simultaneously relaxing and energizing, individual and communal, high-intensity and low-key

Every week, the Bateria Saideira's open rehearsals culminate with an after-hours chess club! In honor of this tradition, we’ll place games on tables throughout the beer garden, creating yet another way to connect while enjoying live music. Play with new connections during and after the event!
