Eat Grow Garden & We Love Aintree's National Tree Day 2024 will be at Aintree Reserve. This year we will be planting out a rocky knoll in Aintree Reserve with a variety of native grasses & shrubs.Aintree Reserve is an important vulnerable grassland site which borders the Kororoit Creek is a home to a variety of native animals, birds, reptiles, insects and frogs. We will be planting approximately 3,000 plants at Aintree Reserve in our annual partnership event with local community members and Caroline Springs Scout Group.
Everyone is welcome to attend and will be shown how to plant, stake, and guard our plants, and use the water cart to water them in.
Please bring/wear:
- gardening gloves (optional)
- closed in sturdy shoes (eg boots, runners)
- refillable water bottle (this is a plastic free, minimum waste event)
- suitable clothing for the weather (ie jacket if it’s cold, old clothing if it’s muddy)
