About this Event
We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes is a 50 minute documentary film that tells the extraordinary story of the 40,000 young women who volunteered on Canadian farms and helped to win the Second World War.
After the screening there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers and a chance to acquire autographed copies of Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz: Memories of Ontario Farmerettes, Shirleyan English and Bonnie Sitterβs amazing book.
After 2 years in the making, the film is ready to be experienced in Strathroy! Now is your chance to see on the big screen the film that's selling out everywhere, and has won awards for Best Documentary, Best Canadian Documentary, and Best Film About Women.
