Join Carrie, Seattle's We Hike to Heal Ambassador, for this FREE Women's Group Hike/Walk!We'll be hiking/walking some trails at Bellevue Botnical Garden. The route has a mix of paved and dirt/gravel trails, and might include some stairs or short hills. This is an easy-to-moderate hike/walk with beautiful plants, a suspension bridge, and sculptures. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race! And if you don't think of yourself as "outdoorsy" you're in the right place!
We'll meet near the main entrance / visitor center (I'll be there holding a clipboard!) where we will get to know each other a bit, then begin our walk. At some point during our hike, we'll pause to sit, meditate and/or journal, and connect with each other.
Time: 3:00-5:30pm (please budget some time for parking so we can gather at 3:00)
Location/Directions: Bellevue Botanical Garden (Visitor Center), 12001 Main St., Bellevue, WA 98005
Parking: There is street parking near the park if the lots are full, as well as a nearby bus stop.
Difficulty level/Distance: EASY/MODERATE / about 2.5 miles, with some mild elevation change
Restroom Facilities: There are public restrooms in the park.
What you will need for this hike:
-Some water to drink and maybe a snack
-Possbily a rain jacket or sun hat
-Comfortable hiking/walking/running shoes or sneakers
-Comfortable clothing - workout clothes work just fine!
-A bag/backpack to carry all your items
-A towel or something to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground
-A journal (or paper) and a pen
