Looking for a beautiful way to spend time outdoors with your little one while also nourishing yourself? We Hike To Heal: DFW Mommy & Me Nature Walk is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature, create lasting memories, and enjoy mindful moments together.
What to Expect:šæ
- A kid-friendly nature walk at a relaxed, easygoing pace
- Guided mindfulness exercise to help both adults and kids find calm and connection
- Fun Scavenger Hunt to engage the mini adventures with sights and sounds of nature
- A welcoming space for caregivers and children of all ages to bond, breathe, and be present
We'll be taking the kids on an easy 1 mi. walk on a part paved/part gravel trail. This is an easy walk with beautiful views and nature connections. We welcome all fitness levels to join!
During the walk, the kids will be participating in a nature scavenger hunt. Once we reach the midway point, we plan to do a small grounding practice with the kids followed by coloring for the kiddos and journaling for the grown-ups.
Fee: FREE (Please create an RSVP ticket for each child)
Time: 10:00 am (please be punctual!)
Location/Directions: 5901 Los Rios Boulevard, Plano, Texas 75074
Parking: Once you arrive in the parking lot, please come down to the picnic shelter area on the left side of the Oak Point Building.
Difficulty level/Distance: Easy; 1mi.
Restroom Facilities: There are restrooms at the trailhead
What you will need for this hike:
-Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)
-Layers to keep warm
-Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
-A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
-A towel to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground
-Your journal and a pen
