Get outside and find out why “We HEART Welaka!” this December!
Camp Welaka is the beloved backdrop for this annual event where participants explore our most popular activities. Located on the Jupiter/Tequesta line and adjacent to Johnanthan Dickenson State Park, Camp Welaka is 640 acres of gorgeous green space just waiting for you.
Participants can pick their own adventure from selections that include fishing, canoeing, outdoor cooking experiences (open fire), archery (must be at least 8 years old), slackline, craft-making and hiking. Everyone can take part in our new photo scavenger hunt – a fun, self-guided activity to explore the property and chronicle your adventure! Because who doesn’t LOVE a selfie?
This annual event is open to everyone...families, groups, friends, and explorers! Membership is NOT required; however pre-paid registration is. So are closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks (like sneakers or boots). Sandals, Crocs, flip-flops are not permitted. Dress for the weather – this is a rain or shine event.

This event includes a lunch break from 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM for all participants to sit, relax and enjoy your own B.Y.O.P. picnic lunch. Select a shady tree, under a pavilion, or next to the lake. ACTIVITIES WILL PAUSE DURING THE LUNCH BREAK. Bring coolers for your packed lunch, with camp chairs, blankets and whatever else your group will need.
