Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies?! The Little Bus Cookie Co. is here to help! In this 2-hour class, we'll cover the basics of sugar cookies (so yes – it’s totally beginner friendly!), practice piping with Royal Icing, and talk through strategies for creating beautifully decorated cookies. We’ll also dive into dough and icing fundamentals, plus mix and color a batch of icing together so you can see firsthand how consistency works and why it matters. Everything you’ll need is provided in class along with a live, in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).

About this Class
This class is for the beginner cookier or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, found yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We’ll be decorating six foodie-themed sugar cookies using four piping bags!
We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 4 cookies, 4 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!
This class is on Sunday, Feb. 1st and starts at 2:00pm sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating for up to all!
This class is good for ages 8+, but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself! Or you can purchase a buddy ticket where you can assist your child under 8 by sharing one set of cookies.
The class will be held at a Private Residence in Chandler, AZ located on Rural/Chandler Blvd. Address details will be shared the week of class.
Things to Bring
Wondering what you need to bring to have a successful time decorating? Well – nothing’s required – but here’s the things we recommend if you’d like to elevate your experience!
- Bring an apron! Things can get messy when you’re workin’ with royal icing – so grab an apron (bonus points if it’s cute – I’ll definitely be asking where you got it).
- Bring your glasses! There’s a reference slide deck to help you decorate, but if things get blurry far away, seeing glasses may be a great bet.
- Bring your phone! I love it when students take pictures throughout class – so bring a phone!
- Bring a mask if you’d like! These classes follow the state health guidelines, but if you’d like to wear a mask throughout class – please do!
- Bring a good attitude! Cookies are fun, but they're also challenging! A good attitude makes all the difference.

These classes are based in Chandler, AZ and cater to the beginner cookier or people just looking to have fun learning a new skill. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-or-guys-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - we have a seat for you.
For our classes, all you will need to bring is yourself (and an apron if you are a messy decorator), and I’ll take care of the rest. Oh – and bring eyeglasses so you can see the instructional PowerPoint if your eyesight is anything like mine. You will get a set of pre-baked cookies (pretty tasty if I do say so myself) as well as all the supplies you will need to decorate them during the 2 hour class. You will leave the class with your very own box of your very own newly decorated cookies!
A little about me – I’ve been baking sugar cookies since 2020 – and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate are Book Club – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do –who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!
