About this Event
Join WE Bike NYC for a fun fall bike ride to explore some local rail trails and a cute town on the Hudson River! We’ll start at Van Cortlandt Park, meeting at Broadway and 242nd St. (by the last stop on the 1 train). Then we’ll ride up the Old Putnam Trail, continue onto the South County Trail and make our way to Hastings-on-Hudson at a relaxed pace. In Hastings-on-Hudson we can stop by the local farmer’s market and nearby cafes to grab some lunch. Then after lunch we’ll return the way we came back to Van Cortlandt Park.
Total distance is about 20 miles round trip, with the majority of the route on paved trails without cars, but about 4 miles on the street. Most of the route is pretty flat but expect some climbing when leaving Hastings-on-Hudson. If you don’t want to return with the group you can take the Metro-North train back from Hastings-on-Hudson.
Please bring water, your helmet (helmets are required), snacks, and a bike lock.
