About this Event

Join us for our 2024 League Cycling Instructor seminar! This seminar will be led by Jan Matheus, League Cycling Coach with assistance from angela olson, BikeMN's Deputy Director.

Read this for a description of the League Cycling Instructor training seminar and this to understand expectations and course objectives. (Required reading before class, scroll to the bottom.)

Pre-req class: The Smart Cycling 101 class that is a pre-requisite for class can be taken in the months before the LCI Seminar if not already completed. We Bike has a Smart Cycling Course planned for April 12-13,2024. Check out our events page for registration info. If those dates do not work for you, please email [email protected] . You must complete Smart Cycling before attending the LCI seminar.

Schedule:Friday 6/14: 5:30-9pm, Saturday 6/15: 8am-6pm (lunch provided), Sunday 6/16: 8am-2pm

About the coach: Jan Matheus got involved in bike education as a result of her passion for bike advocacy. She is a proud original member of the Richfield Bike Advocates, the local organization which introduced her to the statewide advocacy group, Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota. Matheus is also a Minneapolis Public Schools Safe Routes to School volunteer and part of the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota Education Committee. She became an LCI in 2014 and immediately began teaching Smart Cycling to people all ages and abilities. She is excited to join the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota Coach Team.
