Community, as we know it, is fading in many places. But not here in the Mad River Valley! The Valley has a way of holding onto what matters: neighbors who take care of each other, local businesses that rally together, and volunteers who keep traditions alive. That spirit is exactly why Bee, a new nonprofit Vermont-focused app designed to make it easier for people to connect with meaningful local actions, has chosen the Mad River Valley as one of its first Pilot Communities. The MRV Chamber of Commerce, MRV Rotary, Marci Lutsky, and Bee are partnering to host the We Are MRV Community Connection Fair, a community festival that’s part block party and part volunteer fair on September 21st. There will be a BBQ lunch, local music to keep the day lively, and hands-on activities to give residents of all ages a way to jump right in. Neighbors will be able to explore booths from local nonprofits, clubs and organizations, meet the volunteers and leaders who keep the Valley vibrant, and discover ways to get involved.
