About this Event
A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots."– Marcus Garvey
Join Visuals by A Butterfleye and DoorKnocker Narrative for a liberating photo walk through Harlem, storied with history, celebration of beauty, and confirmations of the Black resilience. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or in your budding stages, this photo walk is an opportunity to connect with others in your community while loving on the history of Harlem.
As landscapes are changing with gentrification and the need for collective effort is more than apparent, we're gathering to remind the world and ourselves where we come from as a compass for where we’re going.
Photos will be captured, stories will be told, connections strengthened, and the community will be reminded, “We’re Still Here.”
