I want to go to the World’s Fair.” Jane Schoenbrun’s stunning first feature begins with lonely teen Casey (Anna Cobb, in a remarkable debut) preparing for an internet video. By reciting a mantra and smearing blood on her monitor, she enters the “World’s Fair Challenge,” an increasingly bizarre and potentially dangerous online role playing game wherein she begins to document the changes that may or may not be happening to her.
