Takes place in Room 45(Half-hour social, then lecture at 6:30 p.m.)
Michelle Fronk Schukle will explore the weeds in your garden—why they’re there, what they can teach us, and how some can even benefit other plants, flowers, herbs, trees, and shrubs. Instead of reaching for pesticides, Michelle shows how we can decode their message and rethink our relationship with weeds.
A Principal Master Gardener, Michelle is passionate about the art and science of horticulture and leading a balanced, healthy life in and out of the garden. She founded Natural Selections Gardens in 2009 to share her love of native plants and organic gardening practices in New England landscapes.
Michelle is also a Registered Nurse, Wellness Coach, and Home Compost Instructor. She holds an MBA in entrepreneurship and a Master of Public Health focused on Health Equity. As the leader of The Center for Community Health and Nutrition at The Greater Boston Food Bank, she uses her skills to help end hunger across Eastern Massachusetts.
