Prizes are awarded for 1st Place through 20th Place. 1st Place finishing duck wins $350. 2nd through 20th prizes in the past have included Blackstone Grill, Vehicle Detailing Service, Sporting Event Tickets, Movie Tickets, Gift Cards, and Gift Baskets from Local Businesses. The last place finishing duck wins a $50 Gas Card.
Ducks can be "adopted" from any WCYCA Cheerleader, Coach, Board Member!
The 11th Annual WCYCA Rubber Duck Race and Jeep Show will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Happy Creek at Gertrude Miller Park located at 905 Stadium Drive in Front Royal, Virginia.
In addition to our Rubber Duck Race we will have airbrush face painting, moon bounce (weather permitting), 50/50 Raffle, Food Trucks and cheer uniforms for sale--just in time for Halloween!
RETURNING THIS YEAR IS OUR JEEP SHOW!!! From 12:00-2:30pm Jeeps will have a roped off section to park and each attendee to the event will get a duck to vote with! They’ll drop their “voting duck” into a bucket in front of their favorite jeep! When we announce prize winners from the Duck Race, we will also award the “Best Appearing Jeep” Award(1st), 2nd Place and 3rd Place). Jeep Entry is FREE!

All ducks will numbered, adoption forms will be shuffled and numbered. We will post a master number list here on this event page and on our Facebook page for anyone interested in knowing their duck number prior to race day! The list will be posted the week of the race or as soon as we sell out of ducks!
Our cheerleader rubber ducks will go in Happy Creek just down from the 8th Street Bridge behind the Raymond E. Santmyers Student Union and will float down just past the last shelter along the creek side. As they come through the finish line shoot we will line the ducks up on our prize board and announce the winners!
Awards will be live streamed on our facebook page. Around 2:00-2:30pm
You do not need to be present to win. We will notify all winners not present.
This is a fundraiser event for Warren County Youth Cheerleading Association, a community-based Recreational sideline Cheer Program based out of Warren County, VA. No alcohol or drugs are allowed. Smoking is prohibited within 200 feet of all playground areas. We expect all attendees to be respectful of each other and mindful that this is a child-friendly community event.
