About this Event
The WCPA Trail Stewards make up our most beloved and active team. They meet monthly at the Park’s Nature Center under the enthusiastic direction of Park employee Kevin Kavanaugh, clearing trails, removing invasive plants, and constructing crossings, water bars and other trail necessities. They meet for lunch afterwards, courtesy of the WCPA.
Our Senior Stewards are retired folks, able to work on a weekday and enjoy a hearty lunch afterwards! Our regular Stewards meet on Saturdays.
Tools are provided. Participants should wear sturdy work clothes and boots. Once you complete your initial training you’ll receive our fantastic WCPA Trail Stewards t-shirt!
Enter the park and follow the signs for the Nature Center. Easy parking available.
Respect your elders, for they carry sharp tools and know how to use them!
