Esoniq began performing in 2006, originally spinning funky, soulful, and deep house, along with the more atmospheric side of trance. Over the years, his sound evolved toward old-school deep and tech house, dubby and acidic techno, with the occasional touch of disco or breakbeat. A longtime figure in Latvia’s underground scene, he’s been part of several DJ and promoter collectives — most notably Platz für Tanz. From the start, Esoniq has also been producing music and performing live sets.
