Tinsley Ellis is a legendary blues guitarist, singer and songwriter….Since his first album Georgia Blue on Alligator Records in 1988, Ellis has gone from local Atlanta club favorite to become an internationally touring blues giant, performing hundreds of nights per year. Mega-star guitarist Joe Bonamassa calls Ellis “a national treasure.” Over his career the eight time Blues Music Award nominee has shared the stage with legends of the genre like Otis Rush, Koko Taylor, Willie Dixon , Buddy Guy, The Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Albert Collins. In 2024, Ellis performed a handful of shows across the country with blues singer and pianist Marcia Ball.In 2024, Ellis released his 20th album, Naked Truth on Alligator Records featuring production from Atlanta Roots musician Eddie 9V. The acoustic album, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Charts is steeped in the folk blues traditions of Muddy Waters, Skip James, Son House, Robert Johnson and even Leo Kottke.
