Wild Birds Unlimited of Cherry Hill is hosting a Birding 101/Nature Walk. Discover what birds are visiting the Croft Farm Nature Trail during the start of Fall Migration. New to birding? Not a problem! You'll learn the basics of bird sight and sound identification from Bill "The Birdman" Pitman.
Bill's love of nature was instilled by his father with whom he spent many hours fishing all over New Jersey. Bill's fascination with birds began about 20 years ago. So, he set out to learn all about them, not just to ID them, but their habits, migration, what they eat and so on. Bill is a member of the New Jersey and Washington Crossing Audubon Society's, leading walks for WCAS, performing breeding bird surveys for Mercer Country Parks Commission and teach 'beginning birder' classes for 10 years.
In order to ensure the best experience, we are limiting the walk to 12 participants. If you are interested, please email us at [email protected] with "Bird Walk" in the subject line and let us know how many people there will be in your group.
Ground will be uneven. Please wear comfortable closed toe shoes. Bring binoculars for the best experience.
