We invite you on memorable day of hiking with Matt, aka the Mountain Bear. The adventure will begin at the iconic Monsal Head, which has breath-taking panoramic views that set a tone for the magnificent journey ahead.
As well as a few challenging hills, you can expect to encounter:
* Breathtakingly deep gorge like dales which cut their way through the landscape.
* A hidden gem of the Peak District.
* Meandering rivers.
* Impressive man-made structures of the victorian era.
Distance: Approximately 12-miles, with an estimated duration of 6 to 6 hours.
Mandatory Kit:
- Hiking boots or trail/fell running shoes
- Clothes suitable to the weather conditions
- Additional warm layer for emergencies
- Hat & gloves
- Waterproof coat / jacket
- Waterproof trousers
- Rucksack / running vest to carry items not being worn
- Snacks / drink / fuel suitable for a full day out in the hills
- First Aid kit (containing anything you personally need, such as medication)
Optional/Recommended Kit:
- Gaiters
- Trekking poles
