However, the opportunity to spotlight and celebrate local filmmakers has been rare—until now. The Waxahachie Cinema Showcase shines a much-deserved spotlight on the creativity and talent emerging from our community.
This first-of-its-kind event features works from some of Waxahachie’s most promising filmmakers, including Stephan Farina, Ben Fenton, Christian Kraemer, and others who are breaking into the film industry. The evening promises an inspiring collection of films, storytelling, and the chance to meet the creators shaping the future of local cinema.
As the first event of its kind, this showcase provides a unique opportunity to experience captivating films, connect with the filmmakers, and support local artistry. Whether you're a film enthusiast, aspiring creator, or simply enjoy uplifting homegrown talent, this event is a must-attend.
The lineup includes Take Me To Hawkins Texas, and Terminal, by filmmakers Ben Fenton and Stephan Farina. These filmmakers are passionate about supporting local life and business, as shown in Farina's premiering film: Let the Good Things Grow, documenting the opening of local coffee and flower shop Bloom & Pour. Other local works will also be shown from directors Christian Kraemer, Quentin and Ian Harrup and Sydney Cope.
