In partnership with the Gary Comer Youth Center, we’re thrilled to announce our first Watoto Viberaiser on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM!The Chi-Village Viberaiser program is designed to strengthen reciprocal interaction between emotional, mental, and physical health throughout African diasporic communities in the Chicagoland area.
At Chi-Village, we believe that children, or “Watoto” in Swahili, are sacred treasures who bridge the past with the future. They’re the bearers of future legacies and a vital link to our ancestors.
Join us for youth activation stations where Watoto can:
?Craft their own seed starter kits
?Enjoy delicious treats from Taylor’s Tacos
?Adorn themselves with beautiful henna designs by @hennabydija
