Grab your hula hoops and your juggling balls, get your foraging baskets ready, and dust off your festival gear, as we get ready to celebrate the Waterside at the Waterside Together Mini Festival 2025!
In Your Space Circus will be bringing a bucketload of fun, colour and circus with astounding performances, interactive acts and activities you can try out for yourself!
With workshops in drumming and circus skills, interactive comedy & stilt performers, face painting, circus shows and even a portrait painting puppet!
We’ll also have an active play area with outdoor games provided by Donegal Sports Partnership. They will be setting up a pop-up play event; this is a child-centered play experience, designed to encourage creative, spontaneous, and unstructured play. Unlike traditional, structured recreation programmes (e.g. sports or dance classes), pop-up play focuses on imagination, exploration, and choice—offering materials, space, and time for children to lead their own play. On the day they will have large wooden games i.e. Connect 4, Jenga, and balance block along with parachute and many more games. This will be led their by local trained Play leaders.
There will be storytime with Marianne McShane, foraging walks with Claire Thomson, and much more!
We’ll also be giving away free ice-creams from the Honey Bear Ice-Cream truck to the first 200 people and we’ll have a range of delicious meals provided by Notorious for the first 50 people so do get there early! We’ll also have 50 food tickets for Notorious and 100 free tickets for Honey Bear ice-cream by advanced registration - just follow the links!
What more could you want from a fun-filled afternoon celebrating the Waterside in a stunning shared space?
Parking: availability at several access points along the festival strip such as: Springburn Road, Ashburn Avenue, Cherryburn Gardens, Adelaide Road, Seventree Road, Kilberly Hill, plus many more and public transport is via the 3b bus. Have a quick look at Google Maps before you leave the house and find a quiet spot to leave your car! We strongly urge people to avoid parking at Tesco or Supervalu as these are very busy areas and it may cause serious traffic congestion. There are many side streets with direct access to the festival site and these are the fastest routes to the 80 free meals by Notorious and 200 free ice-creams by Honey Bear Ice Cream Derry!
