The Watershed Restoration Program is a cooperative partnership between the Upper District and the U.S. Forest Service that incorporates volunteers into efforts to protect and maintain the local watershed. Program activities typically include collection of native seeds, planting of saplings and trash removal.Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate in the Watershed Restoration events, and the opportunity to earn community service hours is an incentive for many local youth to take part in the activity. The events give families an opportunity to spend time together while doing something positive and fun for the environment.
Join Upper District and U.S. Forest Service staff for a Watershed Restoration event on Saturday, March 29th, from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. Help restore our natural landscape in the San Gabriel Mountains! 🌲
