Join the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program for Watershed Explorers, a new series for youth between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. In these 6 free programs we will be covering a different aspect of our local watershed, from the creatures that call it home, to water quality, native plants and more! Participants will earn a different badge for attending each program and will win a prize for collecting all 6. These programs are made possible in part thanks to the @LandStewardshipCentreofCanada.The fourth session in this series, Testing the Waters, focuses on exploring the quality of the water in our watershed. We will embrace our inner researcher while using special equipment to look at the chemical and biological properties of water samples, and discuss the possible impacts of poor water quality. Registration is required for this free program as space is limited. Youths must be accompanied by an adult. To find out more, or to register, call or come down to the Nature Centre (403.529.6225).
