Join local artist Casey Murano for an afternoon of watercolor, art, and watersheds. Casey will teach you skills in watercolor painting while reflecting on the importance of the intersection between art and nature with an emphasis on appreciating our own local watersheds. All supplies will be provided, and this is a family friendly event open to everyone. This event is FREE for the public and will be held at Appalachian Headwaters Wood Thrush Park at 334 Richland Lane just outside of downtown Lewisburg. You can reach out to Merri at [email protected] with any questions. About watercolor artist Casey:
Casey Murano creates drawings, books, and works on paper as practices of pilgrimage: a journey of transformation and relationship with place. She grew up in the Roanoke Valley, earned a B.A. in Visual and Media Arts Practice from the University of Richmond, and currently lives at Bethlehem Farm, an intentional Catholic community in Summers County. Her daily work includes running low-income home repair projects and service retreats, and her art-making is in dialogue with these rhythms and processes. Learn more at www.caseymurano.com
