Ahead of our upcoming exhibition, Waters Rising, we are looking for residents of Perth and Kinross to share their memories of the impact that flooding has had on their lives. If you have memories of the flood of 1993 or perhaps of more recent floods, we’d like to hear from you. We’re hosting two oral history collecting sessions at the AK Bell Library and North Inch Community Library in Perth. By joining us at these oral history sessions, your memories will be recorded and may be used in the Waters Rising exhibition. This community sourced collection will also be held in the Perth and Kinross Archives and act as a new physical archive of flood memories, both past and present.
Sessions occur at the North Inch Community Library on the 28th of September at 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am, 12pm and 12.30pm. The 30-minute slots are free and must be booked in advance by calling North Inch Community Library on 01738 454406.
There are also sessions taking place at the AK Bell Library on the 25th September.
