Abigail's "Quail" Trails are family walks, designed for children aged 4-10 and their families.This Good Friday family walk of 2.5 miles will be easy walking, around Watergrove Reservoir in Rochdale.
We'll meet at the reservoir car park, just north of the village of Wardle and take a route, following decent paths around the reservoir and through the surrounding woodland, looking out for new Spring life emerging.
Time will be built in to explore the surroundings, observe wildlife, climb trees, or simply relax. Around this beautiful area are fantastic views, abundant wildlife, and historical features.
Paths are well maintained, but there is some elevation and some of the route is not suitable for prams / buggies.
Although it is a child-centred event, individual adults are also more than welcome to join us!
Child-friendly dogs are also welcome, on leads.
Tickets are available for families (£10), adult and child (£6) or individuals (£4). These must be booked in advance through our booking site as spaces are limited.
Abigail's Trails are led by professional, qualified Mountain or Lowland Leaders with Outdoor First Aid, Mental Health First Aid certificates, and Public Liability insurance.
