Volunteers are needed for the 10th annual Earth Day Township cleanup event on Saturday, April 26th. Join volunteers as we hit the streets and parks in our community to help clean up litter from roadsides and common areas. Last year 125 volunteers collected over one TON of trash in 30 locations across the Township. Be part of a great event that makes an immediate and positive impact in the community! Sign yourself and/or your group up at www,waterfordmi.gov/earthdayWant to volunteer?
Follow these steps:
1) Register yourself and/or your group on the website www.waterfordmi.gov/earthday
2) Select an area that you'd like to work in, or we can choose a location for you
3) On Saturday, April 26th from 8-10:00 a.m., stop by the front of Town Hall at 5200 Civic Center Dr. to receive your supplies and turn in any paperwork
4) Clean up your assigned area by removing and bagging litter for our crews to collect from the roadside. You choose the time you want to work as long as it's between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th.
5) Sit back and marvel at the huge impact you've made in just a few short hours! Every year we see more and more dedicated community members join us for this terrific event, many making it an annual tradition and recruiting more friends and family to join them in helping to keep Waterford a beautiful place to live, work, and play.
