Waterford Concert Series 2025-26 Season Subscription

Please join us for the 30th year of the Waterford Concert Series with world-class artists performing outstanding classical works in the Waterford Old School Auditorium, an intimate and light-filled space with impressive acoustics in the village of Waterford, a National Historic Landmark.

Subscribers and ticket holders can look forward to another five memorable concerts:

Third prize winner of the 10th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition, a top showcase for the world’s best pianists, “Valentin Magyar has a formidable technique…[but] beyond the technical accomplishment, an understanding of the music and a sensitivity to the emotions which the composer was expressing”. Established in 2008, the 450th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth I from whom they take their name, the Queen’s Six are based at Windsor Castle, and have sung at all important royal occasions, including the official funeral services for Queen Elizabeth II. “Sensitive and well-balanced, alert to textural variety and anchored by a spacious bass line, this is superb singing” (Gramophone).

Formed in 2003, the twice Grammy-nominated Lincoln Trio are known both for their polished presentations of well-known chamber works and their ability to forge new paths with contemporary repertoire. “The Lincoln Trio . . . plays magnificently, with a remarkable combination of delicate interplay and robust tone” (Fanfare).

Known for their richness of timbre, infectious passion and intuitive rapport, the Quartet is one of the world’s foremost chamber ensembles. Describing the quartet as “stylistically powerful and richly sonorous, known for its passionate and fearless performances” Strad Magazine hailed them as one of the ten greatest string quartet ensembles of all time.

Winner of both the 2022 Tchaikovsky Youth Cello Competition and the 2024 Lutosławski International Cello Competition, among the most prestigious competitions for cellists under 30, Tae-Yeon Kim—presently studying at Curtis—is one of the most exciting young cellists playing today. Subscribers receive priority seating at all five concerts and a $65 saving over individual ticket prices.

Individual tickets for the first three concerts will go on sale in later in the year.

Tickets are not assigned specific seats, but individual ticket holders are seated behind season subscribers.

Please note that no tickets will be mailed. The names of subscribers and individual ticket holders will be placed on the Will Call List and checked upon arrival at the concert.
