Join us in this workshop to learn how to paint flowers in their simplest forms, recognise a good subjec and translate it into a compelling watercolour. You will develop simple watercolour techniques in a way that is both practical and inspirational.
Materials list for participants to bring with them:
Brushes:
1 large brush for washes (Mop or Chinese Hake type) - 1 old brush for flicking paint (bristle fan brush or old toothbrush - 1 flat brush medium size (1 inc - 1 rigger size 0 for small details or small round pointed brush - 1 palette knife
Paints:
Brands like Cotman or Winsor & Newtown, Suggested colours are lemon yellow, cadmium yellow, cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, indigo, permanent rose, crimson, viridian.
Paper:
Watercolour paper pad with minimum of 300 GM²
This workshop is suitable for particpants age 16+
