Term 4: 1st Nov-22nd Nov, for adults
About this Event
Description
Have you always had a desire to paint with watercolour but lacked the confidence to begin? If you answered yes, then this course is for you. Watercolour for Beginners is aimed at the absolute beginner, no prior knowledge or drawing skills are required. In this exciting course, Mariska will teach you, through a number of guided activities, the foundational skills required to get you started on your watercolour journey.
The course covers a range of subject matter and painting styles from loose and abstract to finely detailed. It’s designed to be hands on with minimal theory so that you can get into painting as quickly as possible. While the activities and subject matter follow a set curriculum, there is still plenty of space to put your own creative spin on things. At the end of the course you will have six completed artworks and a further understanding of colour theory, wash techniques, watercolour mediums and more.
This workshop is a six week course, running every Wednesday Morning from 9:30am to 12:30pm. The dates are as follows:
17th October
24th October
31st October
7th November
14th November
21st November
Materials are not included in this workshop. The material list can be found here.
If you are starting with no materials, you can expect to pay approximately $450 for the essentials list to set yourself up for this workshop. Please note that your paints, brushes and mediums will have plenty of life remaining after this workshop and you will be set up to continue your creative journey into the future.
