“Finally, watercolor made simple.”Line and Wash was once a popular method of creating a watercolor painting. Artists have used many a variety tools to create line drawings with ink prior to watercolor. Essentially, the process of making a watercolor painting via a dynamic line drawing is “easier.”
Creating a watercolor painting using a dynamic line of ink simplifies the process. While shapes and interconnections are clearly defined for the eye, the ink line adds interest and entertainment to the painting. Although drawing is an important component of this method, the application of watercolor can sometimes hide the errors. In this workshop the line will be drawn using a wooden match and permanent black ink. Join Paul where he shows you how to prepare your drawing instrument and the different ways line can be created. This workshop will focus on the creation of a vignette painting.
