Paint an atmospheric landscape scene approximately 4.25 x 5.5 inches with textures anddepth using 1 color and paint a 9 x 12-inch translucent watercolor flower by painting
transparent layers using 1 color for the petals.
Painting demonstration on techniques, tips, and styles to help to complete this project.

Basic Watercolor supplies
Cold press watercolor paper 100% cotton
Watercolor paints
2 water containers to rinse brushes
Watercolor palette to mix paint colors
Watercolor brushes:
• Round #8, #6, #4
• Liner #0, #1 or #2
Pencil
Kneaded Eraser
Paper Towels
Salt
2 hardboards or sturdy cardboard, 10 x 13
Masking tape
Scrap or old piece of watercolor paper to practice on
Light Board (if you have one)
Metal ruler (if you have one)
If you have a tube of a dark watercolor paint, bring the tube. I will have tubes available for
an extra fee of $1.00. Suggestive dark color such as Payne’s Gray, Neutral Tint or Black.
