Poet Bio:
Maureen Sherbondy lives in Durham, North Carolina. Her poems have appeared in Southern Humanities Review, Feminist Studies, Calyx, New York Quarterly, and other journals. Her newest poetry collection is The Body Remembers (Unsolicited Press, Oct. 2025). Maureen has won numerous prizes in fiction and poetry. In addition to 12 poetry books, Maureen also published a short story collection and a novel. She holds an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte. www.maureensherbondy.com

We’ll begin at 7:00 sharp & have a hard stop at 8:50 (venue closes at 9:00).
Following the featured program & a short break for book sales/signings, stick around to enjoy the OPEN MIC!
Open Mic Guidelines:
Please arrive 6:30–6:45 to sign up in person, as spots are limited & go quickly. No holds. Each open mic reader has up to 5 minutes on stage to share 1–2 poems max. If you sign up to read, please stay to hear & support your fellow poets.

The TINY TABLETOP LIBRARY, dedicated in Memory of Poet Mike James (1970–2023), offers FREE, generously donated poetry (books, chapbooks, journals, & anthologies) for you to peruse, take home, enjoy, & share when you’re done.
